“ Trivia night. Good luck beating the regulars. Great burger. Actually one of the best in NYC. I just wished they didn't use so much disposable stuff. Buy some metal plates if you're worried about the dishwasher breaking them. ”
“ I've been here a few Friday nights for trivia. Trivia is fun. The food is good, we've tried different things on the menu. Drinks are also good. The waiters sometimes forget pieces of our order and are eager to serve us the second one person shows up in the party. They have a bar room and a restaurant area. ”
“ I rarely go to bars, but when I have an itch, I make an effort to go to Sanger Hall -- Wednesdays late afternoon is my sweet time. Obsessed with the wings and beer combo! I always get the lemon pepper wings + UFO White (currently for $13; used to be $10, but can't complain). The main two bartenders I see there are nothing but kind. They ensure you have everything without constantly checking in. Music is a little odd once in a blue moon, but it's usually a mix of alt/rock/indie/irish-folk. Also, Wednesdays they host a group of people who gather just to play Irish folk music! So cute. Lots of other great events, too :) ”
“ I've been coming to Sanger Hall on and off for bar trivia for a few years at this point, and it's always been a pretty good time. Friday nights the place is popping off, with a pretty busy bar in the front and a stacked room in the back. Service is oftentimes a bit slow, as there's just a lot of customers on Friday nights. That being said, the cocktails and meals here are much better than your standard bar food. The veggie burger in particularly is a pretty big standout, and I usually stick to an Old Fashioned or some form of gin cocktail (pictured here). Any bar with egg white cocktails on the menu is a good time in my book! ”
“ Came to meet friends for the $12 burger & beer special on Tuesday, checked out early, but could have stayed for the fun of a comedic open mic night. Love that the burger option included the vegan burger, and one of the beer options for the special was a Blue Moon. Ambiance was relaxed before 7pm. Once the Open Mic got started, the crowd rolled it and it became a bit more bawdy and loud. Great neighborhood bar vibes- would definitely frequent if I were in the neighborhood. ”
“ A fun spot in Sunnyside, especially on Friday Nights. If you're like me and you're a trivia fan, this is your place on Fridays at 8pm (grab a seat early, cause it gets busy if you want to be in the front). The trivia is fun, staff is pretty on top of things, and its all good drinks and vibes. I haven't had the food here so I can't say much to that, but the general vibe here is fun and I look forward to coming back. I've passed by this bar a few times and see Drag Queens in there so I assume they have some Drag comedy nights here, which sound like fun to me! ”
“ Cute little bar with a great Happy Hour. Select beers are $5, well drinks $8, Rosé $7, and margaritas is $10. But the best part is they have a huge order of salchipapas for $8! The fries are so crisp and they come with a bunch of sauces. HH is 4-8pm Monday to Friday. They also host a bunch of events, such as Trivia night. Their staff is so friendly and accomodating. Check out their small, but creative cocktail list. I'm not into rosemary, but their Rosemary Halltini is refreshing for the summer. ”
“ Came here for comedy night which I found out happens monthly. It was very amateur but you have to start somewhere. That's how all those famous comedians got to where they are all at now. They have other nights such as trivia and open mic night. I went with no expectations and I must say the service was great and the bathroom was so clean (especially for a bar). I can only say how my specialty cocktail tasted which wasn't that great. I ordered the Jalapeño Watermelon Margarita. Yea, it had a kick to it like a spicy one. I should've expected it, but wish there was more watermelon inside of it. But I'll give them a benefit of the doubt since I didnt try their other cocktails. I'll probably go back again to try their food and another drink. ”
